Today we embarked on our 47 day trip around America. We picked up the RV in Lake Havasu, AZ:

Then… EAST on I-40.  Well… first a stop at a Super Wal-Mart.   We diverted off the highway to drive through the quaint town of Williams, AZ (gateway to the Grand Canyon).   In Flagstaff we stopped at Staples to purchase a power cord for Paula’s laptop, which she had forgotten.  We found it in Holbrook, AZ (-;

All in all, pretty smooth day. The RV handles nicely. We brought too much stuff (IMHO) but with a bit of organizing, it all fit nicely.  The RV is very comfortable.  Most stuff is push button.  I’m in a bit of hot water because I can’t figure out how to get the Dish Network satellite TV going….  I keep doing what it says to do, but it doesn’t work. Maybe tomorrow night…

Tomorrow… Petrified National Forest, then back on the I-40, to Albuquerque.  After exploring Albuquerque a bit we will head as far east at 6 or 7 in the evening brings us. Once we know roughly where we will be we will call a campground and book us a slot. If not available, we will dry camp somewhere (Wal-Mart or Flying J).
