Most years I try to learn something new. I don’t time this to the new year, just when I’m ready. This year I’m focusing on nature photography. I’ve purchased a Sony RX10iV camera with a 600mm Zeiss lense. And I’ve also updated my Fuji lens kit to include at 100 to 400mm telephoto and a 2x tele-expander.

The ultimate “test” of this will be a trip to Florida’s Great Florida Birding Trail system later in the year.

Here is some “nature” I’ve photographed on recent outings.

Western Fence Lizard (Riverside, CA)
Least Tern (San Joaquin Nature Preserve, Irvine, CA)
Rufous Hummingbird (Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary, Orange County, CA)
Monarch Butterfly (Riverside, CA)
