Back of the envelope calculations show that most middle class and upper middle class people are actually working and losing money.

I’ll do the math for my situation (upper brackets):

$1 comes in

15% goes to FICA. I will never see it again.

39% goes to Federal tax. That is likely to rise.

10% goes to State tax. Likely to rise.

3% goes to property tax. Likely to rise.

1% goes to vehicle registration and other driving related fees.

8% of most expenditures goes as sales tax.

The list goes on, but let’s stop there, just for simplicity. The loss is:

15 + 39 + 10 +_3 +1 +8 or 76%

Now, factor in that the government has printed $12 trillion dollars in the last 3 months, devaluing that $1 by at least 30% long term.

76% + 30%

106%

And I left out a LOT of other government money sinks.

And they aren’t done printing money.

We are all losing money FAST right now.
