Large percentages of them think price controls are a good idea.
We need to replace EVERY elected official in D.C. None of them can be trusted to not be tainted.

Replacing incumbents isn’t a long term solution to whatever you see as the problem. They were decent people when they started, and they are probably still decent people except in the matter of party loyalty and the desire to be re-elected.
The basic barrier is the expectations of the voters who see the government as a free source of help for many of their needs and problems. Change the voters’ minds and the politicians will follow. But you will first have to lower your targets about what has to and can be done. Our system changes only slowly, which is the good aspect because whiplash from frequent large changes doesn’t make for a good investment climate.
Start by brightening the corner where you live.

I’m dubious that “they were good people”.
My corner is bright, but the shit storm these fools are bringing us will sweep away the good deeds of millions.
