Police honor guard for victims of Weather Underground
While Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dorhn quietly plan brie and wine celebrations of “Their One”’s electoral victory, others remember Sgt Edward O’Grady, Officer Waverly Brown and Brinks guard Peter Paige. All were gunned down by the Ayers’ Weather Underground and Black Liberation Army in a 1981 armed car robbery.
O’Grady’s sister, Mary Crowley, said she is stunned by the turnout each year.
"I would have thought it would have dimmed down over the years," she said. "I have heartfelt angst for everyone who comes out."
Susan Rosenberg, in on the heist, was pardoned by Clinton in the last hours of his Presidency. Nary a day goes by when I don’t learn something disturbing about what that man did in office.
