Lots of teenie-bopper dollars

My wife and I saw Quantum of Solace (ken review: yawn) on Thu evening. The place was packed with teenage girls waiting for the 12 o’clock showing of Twilight.

My son and I then saw Madagascar 2 (ken review: penguins rule!) on Saturday in SLC… the Gateway Megaplex was packed with Twilight goers. This time mainly families.

A colleague told me at lunch “it wasn’t bad”.

The movie is definitely a “chick” flick:

There’s an audible shiver as they first spy the teen vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), his impossibly gorgeous face caked in a mime’s pallor, sitting in biology class next to young Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart). When he holds an apple in his hands to present to her — the novel’s cover image — the girls emit an awestruck sigh

I’ll go see it, but mainly because I REALLY like Raisinets.
