The good old days
You would think that, now, after trillions of dollars of failure by government entities such as the Congress, SEC, FDIC, Federal Reserve, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, that a press not captured by one political party would be vigorously pointing out that more of the same just more of the same.
The course forward under Obama and the Democrats (and a few stupid Republicans) is clear. Modest economic recovery for a few years and in 9-10 years, an even bigger collapse – probably one the nation can’t recover from.
A press with a longer term vision than Democratic vote counts would be insightfully pointing out that likelihood.
That they don’t is a testament to their failure as a profession, the poor standard the profession has, and the poor analytical thinking ability of the typical journalist.
