The old standard for home buying debt of three times annual income (GDP) has recently expanded to four times. Anyway, national debt cannot be well analyzed with simple figures like multiple of GDP. The acceptable level of debt depends on future earning prospects for people, companies, and nations.

blah blah blah. Just say it “If Obama does it, I’m FOR IT. Yeehaaah”.

It is so obvious that we have too much debt that I find it ludicrous to find it defended.

And it is so obvious that it didn’t buy much of worth too.
