Ted Kennedy represented the very worst political America had to offer.  A Senator for 47 years he ruled not represented. He did not owe but was owed. He murdered but did not pay.

To me Ted Kennedy represented corruption. From the very form his body and face took, it seemed as if the corruption of DC that he was part of was also part of him.

He never paid for murdering an innocent girl nor for aiding murderers in Northern Ireland.

The voters of Massachusetts foisted him on us and for reasons incomprehensible to the other 49 states kept sending him back.  I hope they learned their lesson, but I’m pretty sure they didn’t.

I can’t have full AP articles posted here. Zapping comment.

BTW: the article basically quoted some Republicans, including Reagan, as admiring Ted Kennedy.

Some people are good at fooling others. I don’t know him personally. I used to walk by his Georgetown house regularly, it seemed well tended. But…. he killed others, he aided others to kill others, he was a drunk, he drove his wife to drink as he cheated and philandered, his kids have drug problems. And if he was gregarious and happy while wreaking all this havoc isn’t exactly a point in his favor in my book.

I’d say this whether he were liberal or conservative because if he lived in Utah he would have been a conservative narcissistic corrupt politician.

We now get subjected to a week of how great he was, including a state funeral. I think the wrong person got to crawl out of Chappaquiddick. It would be nice if we had one honest politician to say this guy’s misguided policies have done great damage to the country.

Massachusets will find some other idiot to replace him; they foisted him and Barney Frank on his so far.
