Bill Dyer (aka Beldar ) recounts a priceless teachable moment with his daughter Molly. I can’t really excerpt it. Just go read it. It involves points in her guitar class, sharing them with others who haven’t worked so hard so they can get an A, and the Obama sticker on her lunch box.

My Dad tried to teach me lots of liberal stuff as a young lad. I recall watching him rail on about Nixon. But it was just blah blah blah to me then, I wasn’t politically engaged as a youngster.  His influenced worked on my politics for a bit as a young man. But fortunately his bigger influence was to teach me critical thinking (liberalism doesn’t survive a withering intellectual glare).

And THEN I got my first ever paycheck from the Army… and it was missing a few things. My money!

And then somebody lent me a Robert Heinlein novel. Rapid decline to rabid libertarianism followed.

Good story. Its inexplicable to me how someone can actually contemplate voting for the guy. I mean, if you have a job. I just don’t get it.

A lot of people are stupid and uninformed. A lot of well off people are guilty. A lot of people are bought by other people’s money.
