If you are interested in being involved with a “Tea Party” protest here in St. George, please contact me.
I’m thinking we could start at Carl’s Jr and march to Jim Matheson’s field office (behind the mall) to ask him why he claims to be a “fiscal conservative”.
I’ll be the guy with a sign “Jim lied, piggy banks died”.

Ken: excellent plan, however, I think starting at Carl Jr.s is quite a hike, unless there is one at the Mall. Also, you have to hike around that stretch of highway that has no clearance from traffic. Just my uninformed opinion but I couldn’t make that hike and think about the general age of St George Winter residents …….
also, they had a ‘tea party” in San Diego Harbor Thurs or Fri.
The weenies up here wouldn’t do it unless Pres Monson was leading the parade. They could do it in the Lake.

Ken: let me know when it is happening. Might come down and march with you. I have a real dislike of Matheson. You might want to check and see if he will be in town on any particular day. They don’t seem to be in Washington right now.

No responses so far, to the post or to the e-mails I sent out. I guess Utah gets what it deserves…

Don’t give up….We just need to get the news out. I just heard about it today and I’d be there. I’ll talk to my co-workers tomorrow and see what they say. Maybe Karen is right about the President Monson thing. I’m from California and there seems to be a “ostrich” attitude here (head in the sand). California is rising up for this day – it is incredible! Anyway, I’ll get back to you. Toni

Thanks Toni.
St. George is an odd town. They let an entire school switch to Spanish speaking without a peep. Nowhere else I’ve lived would tolerate that. Frankly, it’s a bit worse than ostrich, it’s bizarre.

“Don’t Tread On Me” Pretty much sums it up. This was the motto at the beginning of the Revolutionary War telling England to Back Off! on taxes, laws, and trying to control the lives of people in the American Colonies with their governmental yoke of submission. This motto is just as appropriate today telling the Federal Government to Back Off! on spending, taxes, forced socialized health care, gun control, etc.etc.
“DON’T TREAD ON ME!”
