Roll the Bones America!
My dad sends me lots of interesting e-mails. A recent one was of the Economist’s ringing endorsement of Barack Obama:
America should take a chance and make Barack Obama the next leader of the free world
Ringing indeed. It seems The Economist needs economics lessons and help.
I replied to him that they should stick to economics.
Turns out, as so often happens, I was right.
David Rennie, Economist’s European Correspondent was speaking in France:
Pointing out that President Bush’s personal ratings are lower than Nixon’s on the day he resigned, “He’s now down there with mass murderers and Hitler, so the fact that a 72 year old grumpy man from the same party is polling in the high 40′s is a sign that this is not a very different America”
Yep – deep analysis their Economist. Keep up the good work. Three words: Washington Post Company.

Europe, and especially Britain, is filled with flyspecs like Rennie who make a living at whining. The Economist is just a place where they hang out for a paycheck and an expense account. Europe doesn’t see that the Eastern rabble will destroy them when “The Messiah” puts America back to the thirties. Nobody has a handle on “economy”. It’s harder to understand than Kant’s philosophy! A sensible American president would take steps to protect our citizens, institutions and territory but leave the rest to Congress, the states, and the people.
