He is in a pretty good position. The gun is going to go a bit off center no matter what. What is really wrong in his recoil management is that he isn’t leaning into the gun. If he did the gun wouldn’t raise nearly as much and would snap back down quicker. The other big issue in this picture is that his finger should be off the trigger and ready to pull again. They worked on this at the camp, but he had issues with it. It’s called trigger lock and he has it with this pistol.

Do I see anticipation of recoil? Is his right arm higher for a reason? Does this force the sight alignment up and left versus straight up?
