At least you give your kid money. Half the kids get free lunch for some reason I can’t fathom. I’m sure if you checked their fridge you’d find lots of cerveza, but they have no money for lunch. Then they throw half of the free lunch away.
I just can’t understand why its the school district’s responsibilty ( using my money) to feed someone else’s kid.

I’m a bit more sympathetic this year than most, since lot of the big SUV driving Moms signing up their kids for free lunches are going home to foreclosed houses.
That said, their first priority should be feeding their own kids. And they should sell an ATV or skip a few movies before sticking me with the food bill for their kid.

1 peanut butter and jelly sandwich – 432 cal
1 apple – 80 cal
1/2 cup raw carrots – 45 cal
2 home made chocolate drop cookies – 170 cal
water – 0 cal
Total – 727 cal, almost half the daily allowance for a 12 yr old boy
