Look for the union label
Page 1009 of the health care bill has this jewel on what organizations are eligible for nursing education grants:
(1) a health care entity that is jointly administered by a health care employer and a labor union representing the health care employees of the
employer
So we have yet another example of the Democrats using legislation of national interest to fund only their constituency groups.
Question for Jim Matheson – as far as I can tell, no nursing program in Utah has any organized labor affiliation. And even if one does, Utah is a right to work state that respects Utah workers rights to choose if they wish to be in a union.
Are you going to vote for a bill that blatantly discriminates against Utah?
Oh… and if you are one of those people who think Congressmen need not read the bill, think again. Most pages are littered with turds like this one, and we will hold you accountable for each.
