Money is best fresh from the printer
The President says he won’t sign anything that “adds one dime” to the deficit. Well, he better put down his pen. Because the bill adds $2 TRILLION. This is up from $1 trillion before – apparently the CBO “forgot” to add in the expansion of Medicare costs:
The Congressional Budget Office on Thursday has come out with some additional analysis of the Democratic health care reform bill in the Senate and it found that expanding Medicaid to include anyone earning below 150 percent of the poverty level would increase the national debt by more than $1 trillion in the next decade.
Oh… and the bill will hurt wages, push 6 million people out of employer based insurance, and push health care spending from 2% of GNP to 5% of GNP.
