I just completed the quarterly qualification for my department. No malfunctions, no problems of any kind with Kimber Custom TLE, Glocks 19 and 26, and LCP. I may need a new on-duty holster for Kimber, as my quickest time for seated draw and fire was 2.1 seconds. Not fast enough. I might go Blackhawk Serpa or Safariland ALS.
None of the duty weapon options we have, including HK and Sigs, shoots as accurately at a distance as a good 1911.

I also express interest in the 1911!

The Sig 226 as much as I love it is not suitable for a carry gun. Its just too bulky. That is why I have a Kahr .40 and a Kel Tec .380. Also why I am looking at the Sig 239.

The 27 just seemed small in my hands but big when I put it on my hip. The Ruger handles that area. The 22 fits fine under an untucked shirt. It is lighter than the 1911 was. The SR9 (Ruger) is appealing, but it actually felt bigger than the Glock.

Big gun for off duty. Why not a 27? Well, if you like it, I guess.I like my 26 with a 15 round mag. Kind of like that ruger 9mm but I already have a 19.I might get the SA xd .45 also
