Quick… how long do you think it reasonable for the government to pay unemployment assistance?
I’m not talking about welfare. We (at a local/state level) should help people who can’t feed or house themselves. I’m talking about money paid because you lost your job.
What did you guess? 1 month, 3 months?
Turns out it is 1.5 YEARS… and the administration is planning to extend this an additional 13 weeks.
Do you think that, perhaps, folks would take more care with their education, savings, career choices, mortgages and sex lives if they actually had to be responsible for them?
I don’t want anybody to starve, but dog gone it, almost two years I’ve got to pay for people that lost their jobs? At what point do we bring back responsibility to this country? I hope before it is too late.
