George H. W. Bush inflicted David Souter on us. David Souter, traitorous liar to the end, waited a couple extra months to retire so that a facsocialist (1/2 fascist 1/2 socialist) could pick his replacement.

That’s right… .George H. W. Bush… I hope you have a nasty fall today. You’ve earned it.

He can take John Sununu, who conned him into picking Souter, with him. Say what you will about W but it seems like he made a couple of good SC picks ( Harriet Meyers notwithstanding)

W… decent picks, bad first instinct. He wasn’t a conservative, neither was his father. Republicans need to be better at picking out imposters. Republican history of the last 30 years is fraught with “Republicans” like Souter, the Bushes, Specter, Chaffee, who were just opportunists, not committed to a cause.

The purer Republicans get along the lines you advocate, the smaller will be their minority status. They have the age-old choice between being right and being president, because the essence of a majority is compromise. What keeps them even competitive now is gerrymandering the House. That doesn’t affect Senate elections where their mere 41% is enough to stop legislation and force compromise in their direction. Oh, that evil compromise!

Liberals like to say that. They are wrong.
On major issues, tax, spend, abortion, defense, economy – the majority back conservative views. Careerists hijacked the Republicans. Time to purify and rise.
