image thumb25 Major support for concealed carry

A new Zogby poll shows major support for firearms ownership and also concealed carry.

An overwhelming majority of Americans (83 percent) support concealed-carry laws, while only 11 percent oppose them. A majority of Independent voters (86 percent), Democrats (80 percent), young voters age 18-29 (83 percent), Hispanic voters (80 percent), and those who voted for President Obama (80 percent) support the right to carry a firearm.

That’s right… 80% of those that VOTED FOR OBAMA support the right to carry a firearm.

Not sure I buy it. Why would anyone who supports concealed carry vote for any democrat? Why would they vote for someone who is diametrically opposed to what they believe?

  2. Ken Says:

Because they don’t think it at risk. Firearms is something the Democrats want to get rid of but are afraid to. They will chip away – and make no mistake – it is the Democrats that want to restrict them.

Guess they didn’t do their homewor or they would have known. Now they are finding out just what kind of socialist this guy is. WH is in full denial mode but I don’t think its working.

I hope you are trained because : Paul Helmke, president of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, fears that violent confrontations will increase. “When someone’s carrying a gun around and they’re not fully trained, oftentimes they’ll use it just because it’s there,” he says.

I’d hate to think you would use it just because its there, but this guy says you will. He must have reams of data and scholarly studies to back up such a statement. I’d like to see it.

  5. Ken Says:

It is far more likely I won’t use it. It is for when their is no escape.

  6. Kevin Nelson Says:

Not asccording to the expert on concealed carry, Paul Helmke. You’ll use it “just because it’s there.”

  7. Ken Says:

Helmke is the classic idiot that can’t think past primary causes into secondary, tertiary or deeper relationships. Gun violence sucks. So he wants to get rid the ability to defend yourself rather than getting rid of those prone to gun violence.
