Dan Cooper doesn’t run the business that bears his name any longer. The board booted him out. His apparent crime:
- Donating to Barack Obama
- Lying about it in a company press release
It sounds wrong to fire him, but the board acted correctly in the shareholders interest. You see Cooper’s business makes high end precision rifles. The kind bought by serious shooters and hunters. They, overwhelmingly, do not support Barack Obama.
There in lies a lesson… do not piss your customers off. The media should learn this lesson every quarter too, but they don’t.
I’m sorry Mr. Cooper and his dream are separated now, but you must sleep in the bed you made, at least in Montana.
Mr Cooper makes excellent firearms. He could always become the MSNBC of firearms. He could tout support of Obama and cater to that ultra-small niche: high end gun enthusiasts who support Obama.
Folks this serious about firearms do NOT like Barack Obama
