Stayed at Caesar’s in Dec ’66 on the way to RVN. It opened on Aug 5, 1966 with 700 rooms, mostly motel like in the back. Show was Woody Allen and Petula Clark. He could have stayed home! The Chicago mob ran things then.
First time in ‘Vegas was 1965 at the Stardust in the middle of it’s remodeling, with our USNPGS gang passing to and from a week at the Nevada Test Site. Show was “The Lido de Paris”, 60 lovely girls, 30 lovely costumes!
Golfed and stayed at The Dunes, stayed at the MGM Grand before the fire.
