Okay, I slam the press all the time. But the AP did fact check Obama’s speech last night, and he didn’t come out too good (no surprise).
OBAMA: "Over the next two years, this plan will save or create 3.5 million jobs."
THE FACTS: This is a recurrent Obama formulation. But job creation projections are uncertain even in stable times, and some of the economists relied on by Obama in making his forecast acknowledge a great deal of uncertainty in their numbers.
The president’s own economists, in a report prepared last month, stated, "It should be understood that all of the estimates presented in this memo are subject to significant margins of error."
I wonder how long these guys will be with the AP, or how long that link will last?

Do you state confidence limits around your wild-assed guesses of the WAGs of people whose opinions you like?

I actually don’t like their opinion. I just give them kudos for actually questioning the man.
And here you are asking for “data”. Stop it.
