As I be-bop around San Diego, I’m continually seeing young people applying for jobs. At restaurants, bike shops, Starbucks, drug stores, retail stores. It is encouraging to see them trying, but when most times, and all the times I’ve asked, the person getting the application or resume said “unlikely”.
I did see a few help wanted signs, mainly for kitchen staff.
