Australians are leaving England to return down-under in greater numbers than they arrived:
UPDATE : From The Times this morning; "In recent years, thousands of educated Australians have come to the UK. Immigration has been the start of a career, not a gap year, it adds. So there should be some alarm at the fact that they are heading back home in ever larger numbers: 2,700 a month compared to 1,750 a month in 2005. This is largely a vote of no confidence in the old country."
I love the US, kind of. There I said it. I love what it used to be but am extremely worried and frustrated over what it has become. I think we are a force for good abroad but wonder if the decay within will collapse us in the unfortunately near future.
Will Switzerland have me? I can stare at a computer and sell over the internet as well there as in the People’s Redistributive Republic of the US.
Here I used to be a citizen, but now I’m just a checkbook.

“Will Switzerland have me? ” Not as a citizen, since they are even more tribal than white male Americans.
“I love what it used to be” Revolutions in otherwise civilized places, like colonial America, typically start as a demand to return to a golden age that never was. And complaints that the country is going straight down into degradation are much older than you are. For some perspective, consider that in all the financial crunch of the past few months, the one currency that has risen is yours; and almost all the people I talked to from around the world in the past two weeks in Argentina applaud Obama’s election. Note also that if America is so decrepit, why are so many people breaking down the walls to get in? Your struggle against immigration is a sign that things are worse elsewhere.
Let’s think positively about what we can do to brighten the corner where we live and hope that enough other Americans will do likewise. Have some faith in Winston Churchill’s observation that Americans always do the right thing, but not before they have tried everything else first.

Most people applaud Obama because they want us to reach their lower level faster. They view the world as zero sum and we take too big a share.
So fine. Think positive. But how? All they want is my money and then my time. And although they take tons of both now they bitch I don’t do enough and they want more and more and more. To hell with them.

and another thing… I don’t dig the slams on white male americans. I’m that and I’m anything but tribal. I welcome all cultures as long as they contribute. Unfortunately, some welcome only if they vote one way.

Only in America can nation, chiefdoms, tribes, clans, and families be free to coexist and rise in status regardless of most original circumstances. It’s sad that the ACLU and other actors spend their days subverting the good things about the U.S. and physically attacking peaceful church goers.
