Roger Simon (reformed socialist) writes that it is Obama’s lying about his socialist past that disturbs him:

There’s nothing wrong with being a socialist.  I called myself one for the better part of twenty years.  Millions of people have and many still do.  But there is something very wrong with hiding who you are or who you were from the electorate—especially if you want to be President of the United States. Yet that seems to be a habit of Mr. Obama’s, with the collusion of the press.

Two things disappoint me in this election: John McCain’s selection as the Republican nominee and the abject failure of the press to tell America who Barack Obama really is.

One thing about this election is impressive (if somewhat scary)… the Marxist left’s take over of the Democratic party from within.

I’d like to see libertarians do that to the Republicans.  But they tend to stick their head in the sands and not vote or to vote for Ron Paul or other silly things to do in a winner takes all binary election process.

Libertarians need their “Move On” and their George Soros.
