Pretend to care for young while the old robs you blind

If you boil down the money flows of the health care “reform” proposals currently in Congress they work out like this:

  • Old people get young people’s money
  • Old people get rich people’s money

So why are the old people grousing so much?

Because they think they can get the money without having to give up medical resources to young people.  They want the money but don’t want the young to have health insurance as part of the deal.

So it is hard for me to be happy about old people killing health care reform when I know that what awaits is just the money being taken anyway because old people do what they do – vote themselves other people’s (current and future) money.

The 16th amendment bites again.
