Jim Matheson, a Democrat, “representing” hordes of Republicans can’t seem to take a crap without polling me about which tissue paper to use. Here here e-mails me a poll on the auto bailout:

image thumb21 Gosh Jim… what do you think?

I answered. And I’m glad he’d like to know what I think.  But isn’t it more IMPORTANT that I know what HE THINKS?

Matheson has spent a career hiding who he hangs out with in Washington, DC from Utah’s red voters. If you are from out of state you should know the only reason he is a Congressman is because his father was a popular Democrat governor and mayor of Salt Lake City back when Democrats hadn’t been taken over by socialists.

I’d like to know what Matheson thinks on this. If I wanted a poll in office I’d send one and save on Congressional pay and benefits.

Too much democracy for you? It comes right down to what “Representative” means. The House, with its two year term, was invented to be as in touch with the mood of the people as communication would allow. Since 18th century communication was no faster than a horse, democracy has since far”advanced”. Now the Representative is in instant touch from Washington Tuesday to Thursday and in the District otherwise.

You’ll find out what he does on the issue when he votes. What you may never find out is whether he has thought about it all, or is merely voting the majority district attitude. Maybe you should tell him what you expect in your Representative.

Trouble is he doesn’t poll me on what bills should go to the floor and who he should pick for speaker.

He polls to see how liberal he can be and get away with it.
