Google irks me a lot, but it is the irk of “love’. I dig Google. Sure I wish they would stop donating to liberal causes, but hey, it’s their money!
So while Microsoft is busy trying to figure out how to match Google in searching, and AOL wonders if they are still relevant any longer, Google takes aim at Facebook, Twitter, and moves the bar even farther with their new “Google Wave” system launched this week:

What is Google Wave…. uhhmmm just read the article. It’s cool.

I know I risk being labeled a “neo-luddite” but I really don’t want that much communication with other people, I don’t want anyone to know what I’ve been up to all day, and I am not that interested in the daily activities of anyone else.
Don’t need “computer” friends, either.
I’m usually a little late jumping on the new technology bandwagon, but I think I will skip the Facebook, Twitter etc entirely.

I’m not sure if I’d use it either. But the point of the post was mainly that they keep on moving ahead.
I just got on Facebook, it is moderately interesting, but I only joined it because the local Tea Party folks use it to organize.
