A few months ago I started to suffer from, what I thought, carpel tunnel. It turned out to “just” be rheumatoid arthritis flaring up. But in response to the pain, I decided that my computer is a “no go” zone on the weekends.
In particular, no work – unless critical, no e-mail, no blogging. The only thing I do on the computer is look up something (like the origins of the name for the “30-30” cartridge) and check movie show times.
Turns out Lifehacker posts on “computer free” weekends today as well:
I don’t watch much TV. I don’t play video games. But I fritter away endless hours in front of the computer. I tried a bunch of restrictions on home computer use. It was much harder to stick with them than I’d thought. Here’s what did stick: thou shalt not touch the computer on weekends between breakfast and dinner.
Of course, if your job doesn’t involve staring at a computer all week, you may consider a little computer time on the weekend a bonus.

Try an iPod/Touch as the only one used on weekends. You’ll soon be cured or thumb numb!
