St. Louis residents… use this handy
search to arm up.

Alderman Charles Quincy Troupe of St. Louis says that police are either outgunned, outnumbered or don’t care about crime and advises his constituents to “get a gun”:

"The community has to be ready to defend itself, because it’s clear the economy is going to get worse, and criminals are getting more bold," Troupe, 72, said Tuesday.

As long as they get a bit of training and store and/or carry it safely, I agree.

The AP, however, digs up a criminologist who spreads untruths:

"Much of the problem is free and easy access to guns," Rosenfeld said. "This hope that by putting guns in the right hands will have an influence on criminals is a false hope. There’s no evidence for that."

Rosenfeld is just wrong. Lott and many others proved that citizens and guns equals less crime.

BTW: Lott’s site has interesting info about the Mumbai (Bombay) “gun-free” zone.

Where do I get these free guns? My last one cost me $350

I wonder if a “criminologist” is somebody who encourages crimes.
