Starbucks bugs me. Occasionally I buy my wife a hot cocoa there and it costs almost $5 bucks!
McDonalds shares my angst:
and wants to help me with hot chocolate for a buck. Thank you McDonalds.
As to Starbucks… they say they want to take the “high road” in the ad war, which actually means… they got nothing.
Starbucks has got to be running scared. Like gambling, resort golf, and fancy eateries, $5 dollar hot chocolates are definitely an option I can go without in these troubled economic times.

a friend of mine is addicted to the chai eggnog latte (CHEG), which happens to be the worst one for you, and yes he is also over weight and acknowledges both (over weight, and addicted to the CHEG), but yet he won’t or I guess can’t kick the habit, he sometimes has a couple of these guys a day
his only defense is, “good thing this drink is seasonal”
but at $5-$10 a day it is a pricey habit…we’ve even jokingly compared it to another unhealthy habit, smoking, both in terms of cost and potential health risks…think about that one!

So 800+ calories a day probably in addition to over eating regularly. Yep… that will pack it on.
It definitely compares to smoking. And lawyers are starting to notice… not the health, the $…

If Mickey Ds starts brewing up the cafe mocha (which is not the same as hot chocolate), I’ll send you there. In the meantime, bring me a grande, extra whipped cream.

I’ll take the free coffee at 7-11, its acually pretty good. Most of the quicky marts make a decent cup, if all you want is coffee.

The best hot chocolate in St. George is found at (surprise) Chevron locations. Their hot chocolate is always richly flavored, and they offer a hot liquid marshmallow additive that reminds one of mom’s best hot cocoa. – Dixie-Sun

I agree. The Chevron on St. George Blvd has good hot cocoa.
