Gloria Borger laments that we Tea Party, 9/12ers and just plain irked citizens have to speak so stridently at town hall meetings. She wonders why we can’t debate and discuss:
What ever happened to asking questions about the quality of care, the cost of insurance, the impact of any public plan on the health care system? After all, this has been a turbulent economic time for this country, and another huge shock to the system is naturally worrisome.
Gloria… what are we supposed to do when you want to ruin everything in the space of 2 or 3 weeks?
We’d love to debate and discuss this, but your side wants to pass bills without reading them.
So no, Gloria, why don’t you debate and discuss and all that other shinola you want to do – we are too busy saving the country.
If your side agrees to slow down to a pace supporting debate, then maybe we can lower the volume.
