We went to Biaggi’s at the Gateway Center in Salt Lake City for dinner.  We were worried… would it be just pasta?   No worries… they had lots of good options, including this absolutely delicious dish:

Turbo ala de Fuero

Turbo is a fish, sort of like flounder. They sautéed it and served over swiss chard, white beans and peppers in a broth of butter/red wine sauce.

Super tasty and 4HB friendly.

Nice job staying on this in your travels! I’m hitting my own plateau now. I just lost a pound today after 10 days of not losing anything. I did however drop down a belt notch during that stretch, so I’m not worried.

One useful tool I’ve found is http://www.livestrong.com. You enter your food and it keeps track of everything. It’s meant to be used to track calories, but that’s not what I use it for. In the lower right corner, it breaks down what % of your calories are coming from protein, carbs, and fat. I use it to keep track of what % of calories are from protein, which Tim says should be about 40%. I’ve been hitting anywhere from 33% to 42% depending on the day.

Thanks for the tip. I’d be curious to know if I’m at 40% or not.

I started up with OpenOffice years ago, because a friend told me about it and got hooked. Then came firefox, followed by thunderbird plus lightning. That ment, I was indipendend from MS Office, Outlook and IE. Gradually I found out about other open source programms like eg. the VLR player (faster and much more complete than the MS Media player) or Starburn for burning cd/dvd’s as an alternative to Nero. And they nearly all run under Linux as well. All of it legal and at no costs. Saved me a quite some Euros. For the time being, I am about to get myself familiar with Linux. That job done, I will finally be able to say Good by to Microsoft as far as every-day- business is concerned. Mind You, I will keep a naked Windows on a different partition, if it becomes necessary from time to time. However,it will only be run with a try-and-decide programm, so I can use eg. downloaded MS Office trial versions, install them and when the trial period is over, I just tell the try-and-decide programm to dump MS Office. Next time I need it, I reinstall it and it starts all over again.
I know, that is not a solution for business users, but as a privat user, one can be close to be independent from Microsoft.
Thank You Open Office, because you got me started on all of that
