New, power saving, California cord.
Our political class won’t give us more power, electoral or electrical. Instead of building nuclear plants to multiply the power available to improve our lifestyles, they instead go for our televisions:
Power-hungry TVs will be banned from store shelves in California after state regulators adopted a first-in-the nation mandate to lower electricity demand.
TVs are just a start.
The government is in control of power generation in this country. And what do we get? Rationing.
Just wait for it in healthcare.

If they were serious they would say that every household gets the same amount of electricity. The rich people on the hill would only be allowed the same amount as me, and would not be allowed to buy more.
Same thing with water. Then people would have to decide if they want to fill their pool or shower and wash clothes. Can’t do both.
California is a silly place. Idiot liberals with feel-good laws that accomplish nothing but make life unpleasant.

Don’t assume zero sum. They would like you to do that so they can use class envy.
The RIGHT answer is MAKE MORE POWER and use that to MAKE MORE WATER.

I’m not saying they should do that. I agree with you. I’m saying that, as usual, they have identified a non-existent problem and came up with the wrong solution for it. If the problem existed, and they were serious about solving it, my idea makes more sense than what they are doing.

I see the former budget director of California was investigating if they could revert to territory status (and thus have the Feds assume their costs).

I might be in favor of that if it meant we could run all the liberals (including Arnold) who got us into this mess out of town.
The best thing we could do is disband the legislature immediately.
