Socialism only works with infinite supply
Which would you rather have deciding your medical fate? Politics or money?
Remember that decisions are always made to ration supply. In a government directed system favored groups – in communism, apparatchiks, in democracy – block voters get first dibs at supply.
In the UK, with “free” healthcare, the politicians decided that 6 extra months of life for kidney cancer sufferers was too expensive.
Remember…. under capitalism you may not get the treatment, but it will be of your doing. Under socialism, others will decide if you are important.

They are owed full “whatever it takes” medical care under either system.

You prefer an auction system to clear the market for health care. Fine theory! But the ugly reality is that the auction market leaves a great portion of the population way under-served. You will need some kind of a non-auction rationing system to get at least minimum care for the bottom of the human pile. What do you propose?
