Back in the “day” I used to take panorama pictures using a tripod, level and Photoshop.  GigaPan Systems has come up with a better way:

A robotic camera holder. Sweet!   $350 or $450 depending on your camera size. Includes software. What’s nice is you can have it go up/down and right/left.

    How would you print it, assuming you wanted something you could put on a wall?

    Kinkos or other services can print virtually any size. Although a lot of the charm of these images is online viewing of the details.

    I’m surprised the airport picture was permitted, it probably is a terrorists intel dream when you look at the details you can pull out.
