image thumb6 A tale of two cities, or cultures? image thumb7 A tale of two cities, or cultures?
St. Louis vs El Paso…. It’s ON.

El Paso is the “safest” large city in the U.S.  And it highlights why we have to control immigration – El Paso had 4 murders, across the river, 2700 in Ciudad Juarez.

Meanwhile, St. Louis beat out Camden, NJ as the unsafest city.

Interestingly, El Paso has only 15% Non-Hispanic Whites, and 80% Latino, and 3% Black. Some might say this invalidates my immigration point, but I’d point out that El Paso lives as an Hispanic dot in a sea called Texas, which has Republican, small government tendencies.  They can’t be corrupt, the rest of Texas won’t let them.  It is key we don’t’ let unchecked immigration, in turn, unleash the corruption here that is so prevalent in Mexico.

But… let’s go to the stats….  St. Louis has 51% black. And Camden 50% black.  Continuing on in this mornings “insult culture” theme, I wouldn’t be surprised to find that the the unsafe cities list correlates highly to black population ratios.  Black culture, with incredibly high single mother birth rates, does not have effective controls over its adolescent  male youth populations, and in many ways (rap music, for instance) eggs on bad or criminal behavior.

Informal sampling of the 2009 list shows that having > 10% black population is a great way to move up the list.

Should I mention this?  Is it racist?  No. I think this link to violence is culturally not racially driven. I’ve known many spectacular African Americans – of high achievement and unblemished honesty and kindness.   But, frankly, I do not think it an accident that our first black President was raised in white culture.   If not, he would statistically be in prison.

Culture matters. A lot. We may all be human, and “equal”, but how we band together affects so much, and it is a shame more people do not feel safe discussing it.

image thumb29 D.C. the canary warning about skin in the game
Skin… what most voters NEED in the game but don’t.

D.C. voters were pissed that somebody was fooling around with their ready supply of patronage jobs.

So they sent Adrian Fenty packing after one term where he mainly focused on TRYING to clean up D.C.’s corrupt, bloated, patronage based school system.

In spite of test scores rising, irritation of teacher layoffs and other anti-corruption measures caused black voters to not support him.

Now a cynic , or somebody familiar with D.C. racial enmity towards profitable shopkeepers that dare to serve their communities, might suggest that blacks didn’t like Fenty because he is multi-racial. And that they DEFINITELY didn’t like Michelle Rhee, his school administrator, because she was Korean.  But I’m not a cynic…. well maybe.

I’d agree that race was  was probably part of it. But I suspect the main driver was that blacks in D.C. love spending other people’s money and he was getting in the way of the party. Since VIRTUALLY all the money spent by DC government comes from whites (that live in Northwest D.C or clustered in South East DC around the capital,  or via the Federal government), why be careful with it?

In this, D.C. is a model for the country, although the country has less of a racial angle to it.   With over 50% of the nation not contributing to taxes, how can we really expect them to be picky about how or what the money is spent on? It’s all FREE to them!

Thus D.C. acts as the canary in the cage.  Its terrible state shows what decades of that kind of “no skin in the game” attitudes can do.  And that should warn us. But it won’t.

White flight

Politics, Race Comments Off

image thumb64 White flight
Go ahead and believe that if it makes you feel better.
Trouble is… I don’t even know who you are, much less want to “keep you down”.

What are my interests? Do I vote them?  David Kuhn maintains that “voters vote their interests”, and that means white men like me shun the Democrats.   He maintains we left the Democrats because they aren’t interested in us. I think it worse than that – if the Democrats just didn’t pay attention to us that would be fine. Instead, they’ve targeted us.

Obama’s brand of liberalism is exactly the sort likely to drive such voters away. More like LBJ’s than FDR’s, Obama-style liberalism favors benefits over relief, a safety net over direct job programs, health care and environmental reform over financial reform and a stimulus package that has focused more on social service jobs — health care work, teaching and the like — than on the areas where a majority of job losses occurred: construction, manufacturing and related sectors.

Everything about Obama and modern Democrats seems wrong to me. If I don’t seem too interested in “compromise” it is because I can’t see anything their direction I want even part of.

But it isn’t just my interest at stake here. I happen to think what they are doing, and plan to do, isn’t just bad for me, its bad for all of us. It will, eventually, kill tens of millions. It always has before, why would now be different?

Obama and his brand of socialism must be stopped. I hope that can happen through the ballot box, but I’m, frankly, dim on that possibility.  The bribery and corruption machine seems too entrenched, especially with large unions and public sector employees.

I hope it will resolve itself peacefully. But one of the reasons tens of millions have died in similar struggles is that peacefully never seems to last.

    Dumb                              Dumber

Harry Reid is in trouble because:

A new book about the 2008 campaign quotes Mr. Reid as predicting that Mr. Obama could become the country’s first black president because he was “light-skinned” and had “no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.”

Idiots and opportunists, like the Michael Steele, demand Reid’s resignation because of the “racist” remark.

But read it again. Who is racist?  Harry Reid really says we, the people, are. He isn’t saying Obama’s skin affects his vote but ours.

I don’t mind Harry Reid getting in trouble for calling me a racist.  And I certainly don’t mind the racist sword Democrats have been slashing at everybody who opposes Obama’s union and leftist driven agenda being used on a Democrat or two.

But Harry Reid wasn’t being racist, he was just stupid to say what everybody already knows. If Obama spoke “jive” and had other stereotypical African-American culture mannerisms, he would not have been nominated.  But not because he is black, but because he was too different from the mainstream.  The same would apply to a southern cracker with a deep accent and pinch of skoal in his mouth, or to an effeminate man who was a good singer but a bit too chummy with children.

As to Michael Steele… he acts as if because he is black he can comment more authentically on Reid’s remark.  But his only qualification is as someone who also has said stupid things about large groups of people.

And as to requesting Reid resign… again Steele shows he is politically retarded.  Why stop an opposition politician from self-destructing unless they are doing so in policy, like bad health care laws.  When Reid says dumb things it only hurts him, but replacing him in Nevada with a stronger candidate, we all get hurt.

The GOP continues to NOT impress me with their professional cadre.

image thumb90 The Dad Network
I’m off to seek employment for you son!

Despite voting for Obama over 90% of the time, young blacks have depression era unemployment right now.

Joblessness for 16-to-24-year-old black men has reached Great Depression proportions — 34.5 percent in October, more than three times the rate for the general U.S. population.

The story then covers some sob cases which I will ignore because it isn’t surprising that a 24 year old with little job history and on probation for dealing drugs has some trouble finding work….

What I’ll discuss, instead, is what I believe was his main reason for having achieved so little in his 24 years.

And how it happened seems related to this statistic a bit later in the article:

Lower-income white teens were more likely to find work than upper-income black teens, according to the Center for Labor Market Studies at Northeastern University, and even blacks who graduate from college suffer from joblessness at twice the rate of their white peers.

When I was starting my career as a software engineer, I sent out about 300 resumes. This yielded one interview.  My Dad, however, worked his network and hooked me up with several interviews.  Three of which resulted in job offers.

I imagine the Dad effect is even bigger in construction and with less skilled labor.  Who do you think gets the entry jobs at these industries?  The kids of the Dads that work there, or the kids of their friends, or the friends of their kids.

Black culture has lost the Dad network.  Their culture having replacing fathers with government and cult figures like Obama, young blacks find  themselves at a real disadvantage.  Obama may steal some of my money for you, but he isn’t going to get you a job, nor the skills to progress in a career.  Dads do that.

The 24 year old drug dealer that claims to want to work had no Dad around to teach him and has no Dad out their hawking his virtues – that has to make it a lot harder to find entry level work.

Dad for Obama was a bad trade.

image thumb86 Obama inspired trend?
An inspiration to gangs? Maybe.

A new trend is on the rise… Black gangs attacking whites while videoing the assault for resale later.

"They knock a young white guy out with one blow to see if his knees will wobble and surround them and take their money," said the Rev. Leon Kelly, who runs a Denver gang-prevention program. "It’s a joke."

I’m not sure what he means by joke… but if this happens to me,  or near me, I intend to respond very seriously. Fifteen of them are going down, permanently.    Why 15?  That is how many .45 ACP rounds are on me at the moment.

I wonder if Obama’s election has something to do with this trend?   If he can inspire militias, maybe he can inspire gangs too?

I noticed, for instance, when in D.C. recently, that many black people were rude to me.  I’d lived there in years past and found that, except in the case of the criminal element, black people were polite, family oriented and quite kind.  I don’t recall any rudeness the years I lived there, except during pick up basketball games – when I gave as good as I got.

But in the days I’ve been in DC since Obama, I’ve been treated rudely by blacks several times and in oddly mundane situations.

Perhaps his election empowered regular blacks to act out repressed dislike for my race?  And perhaps the same effect has been magnified by the criminal element within black culture and channeled into gang assaults on whites?

I don’t know. Am I even allowed to talk about it?   Can I say that a surprising number of black people were rude to me my last trip to D.C.?   It is true. It happened.  Dare I speak it?

I recall wondering where it was coming from.  Since the town was adorned with Obama everything it wasn’t hard to think of him as a possible source.  Since I traveled all over the country this year, including recently to Atlanta, and the rudeness was not encountered again -  I suspect it was a DC thing.

Well, more power to them, they can find out the benefits or drawbacks from being rude to people.  And I can handle a little rudeness from folks feeling their oats.

But I draw the line at gang assaults.

image thumb53 The only thing they cut
Half the White House holiday it used to be

Economic times are tough… so the White House cuts back. Makes sense. So, you know, they keep it real – $1.4 trillion dollar deficit, $800 billion dollar Democratic constituent buy off fund (stimulus),  trillion dollar health care bills, maybe even a 2nd stimulus bill, and of course, unavoidably amidst all these CUT BACKS they also cut the annual Hanukkah party in half.

The White House’s decision is likely a response to tough economic times and a desire to keep the holiday festivities reasonable.

Or it could be that an someone who spent 20 years being spiritually guided by an anti-Semite is now President?

But hey, amidst all these cut backs profligate spending, who can really tell why the cuts waste happens?

image thumb64 Quote of the Day
Just another black culture exploiter

Black leaders like Jesse Jackson need to take a little time off from blaming white people for everything and start stigmatizing single motherhood in the black community, and start teaching that every time a child is born to some poor single mother, it’s a tragedy.

From Amy Alkon on “The Daddy Gap”.

My wife drives our son’s home schooling… but Daddy is in there swinging too.

I might actually respect Barack Obama as “something different” if he used his first black Presidency, and rare “together” black family, to spur change in the culture he isn’t from, but has spent years exploiting and never seriously risked political capitol to fix.

Sometime, when I get back in my blogging groove, I’ll try to find numbers about America’s educational performance factoring OUT blacks.  I recall seeing those stats last year and it really struck home how bad they are doing and how much of the growth of our government depends on their culture’s failure.

Put another way… there really wouldn’t be that many “children left behind” if it weren’t for black culture’s failure.

Is it racist to view it that way?  Some may view raising the point as racist.  I take a risk writing about the topic. But then again, I meet black people that have escaped the clutch of that failed culture. So I know the “race” capable of much more than the culture they are trapped in permits.   Call me a “culturist”, if you must…. I’ll accept that.

I know everybody has been linking to video of Sheila Jackson Lee’s rudely taking cell phone calls during questions at her town hall:

But nobody that I’m aware of has wondered why she could be so tone deaf.

She doesn’t have to fight for her seat. Check out the map:

image thumb62 Gerrymandered Rudeness

Her crazy convoluted district is carved out to find every black voter in the Houston area.

So she doesn’t have to compete for or even pretend to pay attention to the mostly white voters that showed up at the town hall.

This is an area where computers have not helped Democracy. Geographic Information Systems let state district builders carve out door by door, block by block districts based on race and voter registration information.

image thumb45 Blatant Discrimination

Same GPA, same MCAT, but results vary by race.

Personally, I’d rather have the denied White and Asian applicants above 3.0 GPA and above 30 on the MCAT as my Doctor  than the 100% accepted black applicants with D averages and modest MCATS. That’s obvious isn’t it?

I hope that one day, if I ever need it, my friends will speak of me as clearly and supportively as Officer Crowley’s did today:

I also hope they won’t remember that one joke I told that one day (-:

BTW: I loath CNN, but I have to give their reporter kudos for asking the right questions and getting these interviews.

image thumb94 Barry: Read the police report

Last night Obama opined on something he knows nothing about:

"I think it’s fair to say, number one, any of us would be pretty angry," Obama said. "Number two, that the Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home. And number three – what I think we know separate and apart from this incident – is that there is a long history in this country of African-Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately, and that’s just a fact."

Here is the police report, written by the other reporting officer:

image thumb95 Barry: Read the police report

“Sgt Crowley ask for the gentleman’s information which he stated “No I will not”…. “THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS TO BLACK MEN IN AMERICA”.

Uhm….. no Mr. Gates… they get elected President in AMERICA. Fool.

Sgt. Crowley has a distinguished career and his last brush with fame was in trying to save a black man’s life.

So between a “Professor’ of “black studies” who thinks he doesn’t have to answer questions to officers responding to a break-in call  and an police officer with a distinguished career…. I think I know who the racist is.

image thumb66 Hey… let’s help black people who can’t run a business
Actual logo from one of these “diverse” views

The subject of this post sounds racist, but it isn’t me doing it. It is our beloved government.

“While many jobs are at stake, a more important principle — the government’s fundamental interest in promoting a diversity of voices, including service to underserved communities — is severely threatened,” the members write in a draft of a letter that was scheduled to be sent Tuesday.

What utter BS.  It should read “black radio station owners give us campaign money and lots of good press, give them Ken’s money”.

Ummm… does ANYBODY care about my tax dollars?  Or is my wallet just a governmental tool that I hold for them til they need it to reduce government storage needs?

I am waiting, in vain, for evidence this administration actually wants to help ALL of us.
