Liar!
I’ve spoken of Obama’s speech as lies and “Clintonesque precise speech”.
Nothing fits this more than his section on abortion:
And one more misunderstanding I want to clear up – under our plan, no federal dollars will be used to fund abortions, and federal conscience laws will remain in place.
But why did Democrats (and Obama) not support amendments to precisely say that abortion would not be required in any “qualified insurance plan”?
They won’t be spending Federal money on it. They will be requiring you to spend your own money funding it. The route will be the panel defining “qualified” insurance plans. Nothing in the bill keeps the panel from requiring abortion be covered. That means that I have to buy abortion insurance, which means I pay for abortions.
If this isn’t the case, then why not forbid it in the law? The answer is obvious.
A lie comes from the heart. He may not technically be “lying” but he certainly is misleading us.
I hate it when politicians do this.
