Barack Obama, understanding the histrionics required in climate-change debates, promises that U.S. emissions in 2050 will be 83 percent below 2005 levels. If so, 2050 emissions will equal those in 1910, when there were 92 million Americans. But there will be 420 million Americans in 2050, so Obama’s promise means that per capita emissions then will be about what they were in 1875. That. Will. Not. Happen.

So is Obama lying?   Or is he stupid?  Both?

All I know is that I have NO INTEREST in keeping a President who promises to return me to 1875.  You?

    I don’t think he is stupid. He is nowhere near as smart as his supporters claim, but he isn’t stupid. So I’ll go with liar.

    Perhaps Obamacare is intended to include more drastic population control than just death panels. Did you ever think of that?Those population projections don’t include death panels. Of course, he has broken enough promises:

    ->No increase in tax for people making less than $250,000
    ->Unemployment will not cross 10%
    ->Allow five days of public comment before signing bills

    Among others. Are we somehow expecting that a promise to toothless and corrupt organizations holds more weight than his promises to the people that voted him in? Unfortunately, I wouldn’t put it past him.

    You know, it occurs to me that there is a massive source of heat and carbon we can eliminate easily. I mean all those hot-air blowing politicians are fairly easy to spot. They fly around in jets, emit all kinds of carbon when they breath and create all kinds of hot spots.

    If complete elimination proves too difficult, emissions can easily be reduced by on-site processing into a more manageable and recognizable form: in other words, they should just blow it out their asses.
