Commenter Carl says I should quit carping. Don’t I know that good people are trying to fix the economy?
I don’t quite see it that way… I see people of questionable character plundering the economy and hell bent on making themselves into a permanent electoral majority by buying off constituencies with my money and letting illegal aliens turn into voters.
I see people of dubious character not just continuing our debt spiral, but accelerating it. And not using the debt to invest, but to bribe constituencies and organize permanent civilian obstacles to free elections (ACORN, Americorps).
I see an administration that doesn’t want to protect us and that doesn’t even really like us. I see an administration that fights a war in Afghanistan based on campaign politics, not our best interests.
So I’d be delighted to report good news, good actions, good intent – when I see it.
And oddly, but not surprisingly, Commenter Car was quiet about my lambasting the Bush administration for much of the same fiscal irresponsibility. What could be different now?
All I ask is for ONE significant intelligent decision to be made. I’ll write about it. I look everyday.
