Weather station that feeds into global models

All of the models used as justification for the politicians latest grab for our time and money depend on data from a network of weather stations. But can we trust that data?
A scientist, wanting to investigate the accuracy of the temperature measurements, asked for the raw data from these stations. This was the answer he got:
“We have 25 years or so invested in the work. Why should I make the data available to you, when your aim is to try and find something wrong with it?”
Repeated attempts, by multiple researchers, to get the data were rebuffed.
And now it turns out that they don’t have the original data at all. They claim to only have “adjusted” data, which they won’t make available.
Models based on unverifiable data “adjusted” by unknown methods hardly seems a solid foundation from which to recommend a series of economy wrecking policies.
P.S. Here is a link with many examples of errors in the weather stations feeding our climate models. Most with pictures! Hundreds of stations that feed into our global climate models lie in very unrepresentative areas, for instance near runways at airports or next to the heat output of air conditioners.

Having participated in a “scientific study” as part of my job and also as part of my Masters program, I know first hand the data is junk. The professors will write it up as if it were valid, either knowing the data is junk and not caring or being too clueless to realize it.
It will make a nice published study, they will get kudos from their fellow “academics” and some entity ( the police) will get bad policy based on bogus info forced on them.
Its not a Criminal Justice problem, it happens in every academic discipline. Take every “study” you see with a lot of grains of salt.

Nothing is harder in science than getting truly independent, unbiased data. Example: For years ocean temperatures were taken from freighters until they noticed most readings were taken aft of the warm water discharge ports!
