Do industrious dedicated socialists always win in the end?
I caught 10 minutes of Dennis Miller’s radio show the other day as I waited in the car for my wife to come out of Lowes.
A caller called him to ask “What can we do about Nancy Pelosi and Obama?”
Miller gave an honest, but depressing answer. I’ll paraphrase:
Nothing about what they do. They are going to hose us all and there is nothing you can do about it. All you can do is decide how little of the day they will ruin for you. Win by ignoring them. Win by not letting that shrew, Nancy, or imbecile, Harry Reid, take one minute of your day.
I agree with Dennis. Nobody is going to change Nancy Pelosi’s mind. She is insane and hell bent on doing bad things to all of us.
But Jim Matheson, my Congressman, as much as he sucks, isn’t a lost cause yet.
So the question is, how much time do I allocate to keeping Jim from hosing all of us. That I don’t know. I sent him a number of letters, and got friends to do the same, but he still voted for the stimulus package. Now I have to devote a lot of time and political donations to ousting him.
It’s a pain in the ass, frankly.
Committed socialists have the edge. They will peck away at our freedoms all day. They will slowly get access to our checkbooks so that we fund their assault.
I don’t know how they can be beat. It may just be human nature that some will want to control others and so we go in this cycle. It is then good or bad luck as to where you are born in the cycle. And good or bad luck as to how violently the cycle ends. My birth showed relatively good timing, but I’m dubious about my kids and grandkids fortunes.
Sorry kids.
In a novel, a legion of terminally ill people who have firearms and demolition skills would kill all these assholes in a series of surgical and carefully controlled hits. Led by an enlightened leader who aspires to solve the problem but not take power, let’s call him “George Washington” for the 21st century, they restore Constitutional government to the US as their last acts before dying.
Unfortunately, novels aren’t reality. A more likely scenario can be found in the history books. Look under “Rome” or “Turkish Ottoman Empire”

Castor canadensis is hardly a socialist icon. 4-8 tightly knit families form colonies, that’s it for size, not even a clan! Every animal works like a beaver (ha!), no slackers.
“Beavers have been known to build very large dams. The largest known was discovered near Three Forks, Montana, and was 2,140 feet (650 meters) long, 14 feet (4 meters) high, and 23 feet (7 meters) thick at the base.”
Match that Bambi, Harry, and Nancy.
One family even protested in DC by eating on 14 cherry trees.
I’ve seen one in Georgetown in the Potomac River.
