Just heard about “gestures” at lunch yesterday where we discussed adding to my fortune with an iPad app. Can’t wait for that!
Gestures are things you do with your fingers on the screen that make the iPad and iTouch do clever complicated things you would normally do easily on a computer (like select all and stuff like that). I knew about gestures, but on my MacBook they cause me grief. I learned how to turn them off on the macBook at lunch – sweet. But they look useful on mobile devices.
Here is a guide to gestures – and you need to read it if you have an iTouch or iPad cause you will NEVER sort them out with guess work.

That is why multi-touch is such a big deal. The classic “pinch” motion to zoom out is the clearest example of something that just isn’t possible with a single point of contact but is incredibly intuitive.
Its an old concept, executed beautifully. I still won’t buy the iMaxiPad though.

I got one for the business so we could get familiar with it and get ideas for where it would fit into our plans. the core of what we develop, if anything, will also work on laptops, droidPads, and other larger screened mobile devices. For us it was screensize that makes it interesting.

Yeah, I am interested in a decent screen size touchpad. I just think that the iPad is a poor excuse for one.

I believe one model will have 3G in addition to Wifi. Not cheap!

yeah, especially since it will require a data plan for it, and not be a wifi router.
i prefer my verizon MiFi. It will power my ipAd’s internet via wifi, and 5 other computers.
