I’ve made a number improvements in the blog’s infrastructure in the last few days. These have been private, and I’ve now taken them public. Let me know if you encounter problems.
- Mobile edition
KenNelson.com now detects if you are using a mobile browser, like an iPhone or Blackberry and adjusts itself accordingly.
- Share with social sites like Facebook
After each post you will see an icon bar like this:
Hover over the bar and they expand. So, for instance, to share a post of mine to your Facebook friends, just click the Facebook icon:
- Comment editing
You have up to an two hours after making a comment to edit it or delete it.
- Better performance…
I’ve added the “squid” web site accelerating cache, and also put in place WordPress caching. You should see no change other than faster performance. Also, the website should handle “popular” posts better than it has in the past. - A variety of other improvements related to search engine optimization, WordPress version upgrade, plugin upgrades and what not.
The jist of it is that the site should work better and if you see any oddities, just let me know.
