The IG will check to see if the access was improper,as it was for White House appointees checking the passport files of opponents. As a retired government official, I don't find it surprising that a Jones-Kelley would prepare for a deluge of inquiries and investigations by politicians with their own agendae by checking whether the records were in fact accurate and current. Bloggers, on the other hand, are in the easy kibitzers' chairs where they don't have any responsibility for government's functioning and can hurl whatever idea comes into their heads.
