From Bill Dew (Matheson’s opponent):
According to the study, Jim Matheson votes 88% of the time with Democrats, nearly as frequently with his party as Chris Cannon votes with Republicans, a clearly partisan trend that has increased in the recent two years. Conservative Republicans in the House such as Bobby Jindahl and Jeff Flake vote less (only 83% of time) with their party than Jim Matheson votes with Democrats.
Jim Matheson bugs me. I’m sure he is a nice fellow, but his ads make me cringe because I know he is lying through omission. His ads claim he is an “independent” voice but the data shows something else.
I’m sure Bill Dew is going to lose. He’s run a poorly organized campaign. He is actually far more representative of Utah than Matheson, but because of Matheson’s last name, Nancy Pelosi gets one more vote for her madness.
I won’t vote for Matheson, but I’m sure a lot of suckered gullible Utahans will.

Bill Dew has run a terrible campaign. I was trying to find out who was running against Matheson and this is the only place I was able to find dew’s name. You would think a person running for office would try to get his name out there. I voted for matheson last election but I sure wont this time. I didn’t know how liberal he was untill last week while trying to find how he voted on the health care bill. When I saw his record I nearly fell off my chair. I too had been fooled by his adds. I don’t understand why the rnc doesn’t dump a bunch of money in this district. If people knew, they would vote differently. We are going to have to take it upon ourselves to get the word out.
