The Washington County School Board recently discussed placing an IHC community clinic in Washington Elementary School (as a test case). Representative Dave Clark was there to support the idea:
While health care may not be the primary mission for public education, the two are linked, Clark said.
"A child with a full belly and (who) is feeling good does better in class," he said.
Secondary missions, by definition, should only be pursued when the primary mission succeeds. So do you think the schools are acing their primary mission?
The schools do not need more distractions. Today’s commercial real estate market provides ample available space for IHC to put a community clinic.
