Now, we watch as the first black president runs roost over a plan to legitimize retreat, endorse irresponsibility, and fund failure.

Stupid, me. I thought that this was anathema. I thought that America did not mean cowardice, and socialism, and social engineering, and the road most traveled, and fiscal irresponsibility.

I’ve felt this way for a while. I’m dubious, now, of the merits of serving in the military or doing pretty much anything other than fending for myself and family. I’ll certainly not be encouraging my son to serve out of patriotism.  Why serve when they will waste the sacrifice by giving it all back to the enemy or giving the country to illegal aliens.  If he wants to join for adventure, for a chance to shoot machine guns or other adventuring things, fine. But not out of “service”.

Nope, until America becomes America again, I’m on service strike. I’ll do nothing more than the minimum by law, and everything else goes to my family and others I care directly about.
