Update
I’m fairly convinced that I’m losing body fat, but not weight. That is okay, for now anyway. Ultimately, I’d like to lower the weight on my damaged joints.
I’ve seen consistent drops in body fat measurement at my 5PM measurement. They seem high, but they’ve been consistent, and trending down (19% trending down to 17.3% yesterday). This matches visual changes in my body, and also looseness in clothes.
I suspect this is because of the workouts, and because of the changes my endocrinologist made in the various prescriptions, including testosterone increases and HgH (human growth hormone). Adding testosterone will add muscle. Note that this change happened after my initial big weight drop and corresponds to my plateau.
Because my endocrine system is so hosed up, and I’m such a creature of chemistry, I may not be the best test subject for this diet from a weight loss point of view.
I’m going to proceed because I’m happy to trade fat for muscle, and I feel terrific on the diet. Plus it is super easy to stay on it.
Breakfast
Why is it super easy? Well, check out what I had for breakfast today:

Scallops, Eggs, Organic Lentils, Spinach Leaf, Salsa
This one was simple. Stir fry scallops in olive oil. Once cooked, saute them a bit in lime juice. Then add 3 parts egg white, 1 part egg beater. Cook it up.
Microwave half a can of organic lentils (on the plate). Add spinach leaves. Splash salsa on as you desire. Very tasty. Filling. And tasty… did I mention that?
I ate it all.
Time from start to finish… about 12 minutes.

Having a good time following your 4 hour blog! I started it last Tuesday (9 days ago) and have lost 7 pounds, but it seems the past 3 days I’ve been stuck on the same weight, too.
For the past week I was enjoying a bit of Diet Coke, but I cut that out today and started making a conscious effort to drink more water.
Here’s to more success sir!

Hi David,
7 pounds – awesome! Hopefully the dropping the diet coke will trigger an avalanche of loss. Good luck!
